What is the AI zombie trend?

The AI zombie trend is a short vertical video format that spread on Instagram Reels and TikTok from late September 2026. One person in a couple has turned into a zombie. The other person recognizes that face, lowers the prop rifle and opens their arms. The zombie runs and leaps into the hug, and the clip cuts in mid-air to a warm memory of the same two people, years earlier. People also call it the zombie hug or the zombie love story. Zombie Hug makes that 15-second clip from two photos, one of each person.

Made from two photos

Each clip was made from the two photos beside it. The people in these samples are AI-generated. These samples come from the earlier story, so their memory stays in the same place. New videos cut to a field at sunset.

Pick the zombie video that fits your photos

The AI zombie trend started with couples, but the same story works for friends, family and pets. Every version costs the same, so choose the one that matches the two photos you have.

Photos that give the best AI zombie video

The video keeps both faces from your photos, so the photos decide most of the result.

  • One person or one pet per photo. Do not use a photo of the two of you together.
  • Face the camera, in good light. Daylight works well.
  • From the waist up, so the shoulders and arms are there for the hug.
  • No sunglasses, low hats or heavy filters over the face.
  • A recent photo, so the video looks like the person today.

Do the AI zombie trend yourself, or let us make it

You can also make the trend by hand: write the prompts, make two clips in an AI video tool and join them at the hard cut. It takes time, and keeping both faces the same across clips is the hard part. If you want to try, our guide on how to do the AI zombie trend has the tools and copy-paste prompts. If you only want the finished video, upload two photos here and we do the rest.

Questions

What is the AI zombie trend?

It is a short video trend on Instagram Reels and TikTok that started in late September 2026. One partner has turned into a zombie. The other recognizes them and they hold each other, then the clip cuts to a warm memory of the two of them. It is also called the zombie hug or the zombie love story. Zombie Hug makes that clip from your own two photos.

How much does it cost?

1 video costs $6.90, 3 videos cost $12.90 and 10 videos cost $34.90. Pack videos never expire. There is also a monthly plan. You sign in with Google or an email code when you press Make.

What if the video does not look like us?

You get 1 free remake within 7 days. If the faces are mixed up or a person is missing after the remake, we refund you. If a video fails, it costs nothing: the credit goes back to your order at once, and you can try again or ask us for a refund.

What photos work best?

One person per photo, face clearly visible, good light. A photo from the waist up works well. JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 10 MB.

Can I use a photo of someone else?

Only of an adult who agreed to it. Do not use photos of children or famous people.

What happens to our photos?

Photos of unpaid drafts are deleted after 7 days. Photos of paid orders are deleted 7 days after delivery, and videos after 30 days. You can delete them earlier. Videos are private; there is no public gallery.

Which version should I make: couple, friends, family or pet?

Choose the one that matches your two photos. The couple version is the original trend. Best friends and family (an adult parent and an adult child, or adult siblings) tell the same story without romance. In the dog or cat version, your pet is the one who turns. All of them have the same price, length and quality.

Can I post the video on TikTok and Instagram?

Yes. It is a vertical MP4 that fits TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Turn on the platform's AI label when you post.

How long does it take?

Most videos take 5 to 10 minutes. You can close the page; we email you a private link when it is ready.
